Meriken park renewed in commemoration of 150 years in Kobe port.
It was renewed on Wednesday, April 5 2016. After the renewal, Meriken Park lights up at night, and has also been reborn as a sightseeing spot with new attractions such as opening up “Starbucks” and “FISH IN THE FOREST”.
Meriken park was founded in 1987 in Kobe Port Opening, 120 years, and has been popular as a park representing “Minato Kobe” for over 30 years since then.
At the border of Meriken Park, the monument of the logo mark “BE KOBE” that summarized the thought that “The most attractive person is a person among various attractions of Kobe” born 20 years after the Great Hanshin-Awaji earthquake (Height 2m) welcomes you. A lawn square and 50 rows of cherry blossom trees create a lush green place for relaxation.
Everyday from the sunset until 23:30, trees, monuments and waterfront such as cherry blossoms are light up.

The two storey spacious store is the largest area in western Japan.
Based on the concept of “KOBE HARBOR COFFEE CRUISE”, as if having coffee and cruising Kobe harbor.
You can enjoy the panorama of Kobe from the inside of the glass-fronted shop and have a relaxing time.
It was unique in Kobe that I used thinned wood from Rokko Mountain to the bar counter.

◆ Cherry blossom viewing ◆
We planted 50 cherry blossoms in Meriken Park. In the spring, cherry blossoms are dyed in pink at a stretch.
The grass plaza was also maintained as a place for relaxation. Please come as a new cherry-blossom viewing spot by all means.
